What are the functions of TTAC?
The main functions of TTAC are to evaluate the quality assurance of technology and technical programmes. These programmes include those offering MQF Level 3 Certificate, MQF Level 4 Diploma, MQF Level 5 Advanced Diploma and MQF Level 6 Bachelor's Degrees offered by Education Providers (EP). TTAC aims to elevate the respective programs to professional standards, providing numerous benefits to graduates. The involvement of industry and professionals from other sectors is expected to close the demand and supply gap in all programmes accredited by MBOT.

What are the advantages or benefits of being accredited with TTAC MBOT?
1. Public Service Department (PSD) will use this accreditation status to recognise the qualification for employment in the public service.
2. Professional bodies will use the accreditation to recognise graduates for registration as a professional.
3. Graduates are eligible to continue their studies in higher education institutions.

How does the Education Provider (EP) submit the Application of Accreditation documents?
The accreditation process begins when the EP submits the required accreditation documents to the TTAC. This submission requires the consent from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for Provisional Accreditation and Full/New Cycle Accreditation. Meanwhile, for Extending Accreditation and Continuing Accreditation, documentation must be submitted directly to TTAC using the TTAC MBOT Self-Review Report (SRR).

What is the process for obtaining Provisional Accreditation?
TTAC submits a recommendation to MQA for the approval of Provisional Accreditation. The result will be notified by MQA directly to education provider and copied to TTAC for accreditation record purposes.

What is the process for obtaining Full/New Cycle Accreditation, Extending Accreditation and Continuing Accreditation?
TTAC submits a recommendation to BOD MBOT for the approval of Full/New Cycle Accreditation, Extending Accreditation and Continuing Accreditation. The result will be notified by TTAC MBOT to MQA for further process of registration in Malaysian Qualifications Register and listed in TTAC website.

What is the accreditation fee charged by MBOT?
MBOT applies the same charges as MQA. Kindly refer to the documents under Accreditation Fees for further details.

What is the procedure for applying Open Distance Learning (ODL)?
The EP must submit new accreditation documents to TTAC MBOT using the SRR 01, with consent from the MQA with required accreditation documents in accordance with the ODL guidelines. If any changes need to be made in the MQR, EP must inform MQA with an approval letter from Ministry of Higher Education regarding the requested information changes or amendments.

What are the requirements for curriculum changes above or below 30%?
If curriculum changes more than 30%, EP must submit accreditation documents to TTAC using SRR06. For curriculum changes less than 30%, EP must notify and submit a senate approval letter to TTAC.

Does TTAC allow the use of Micro-Credentials in programmes accredited under TTAC?
As of now, TTAC MBOT has not permitted the use of Micro-Credentials due to the absence of an established policy. However, TTAC plans to incorporate Micro-Credentials in the future.

How can I participate in TTAC Evaluation Workshop?
Technology and Technical Accreditation Secretariat (TTAS) will continuously announce to all members on the website ttas@mbot.org.my and MBOT's Facebook.

What are the conditions required for participants to qualify as assessor panel members?
Participants are mandatory to attend two (2) days workshop and must complete the report within the allocated time.
