CHAIRMAN's INSIGHT

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh dan Salam Sejahtera

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, advancements continue to reshape industries, transform job roles, and redefine the competencies expected of graduates. In this context, accreditation plays a critical role in ensuring that academic and TVET-based programmes remain relevant, robust, and aligned with current and future industry needs.

The Technology and Technical Accreditation Council (TTAC) supports higher education providers in delivering technology programmes that meet established quality standards across MQF Levels 3 to 6. A strong emphasis is placed on five technology competencies, namely product development, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and maintenance, to ensure graduates are equipped with relevant knowledge, practical skills, and professional attributes required by industry.

Technology programmes are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, integrating academic knowledge with TVET-oriented, industry-driven learning. These programmes incorporate hands-on training, work-based learning, and competency-based assessment to ensure strong alignment with real-world technological practices.

Through a structured and holistic accreditation framework, TTAC works closely with higher education providers to enhance curriculum design, strengthen teaching and learning delivery, and ensure rigorous assessment standards. This approach supports Malaysia's national agenda in strengthening the TVET and technology ecosystem, particularly in developing a highly skilled, industry-relevant workforce in line with the National TVET Policy 2030, the MADANI Economic Framework, and national digital transformation initiatives. It ensures that graduates are not only technically competent, but also adaptable, innovative, and industry-ready.

As Chairman of TTAC, I emphasise our continued commitment to excellence, collaborative partnerships, and the development of a resilient and future-ready workforce for Malaysia.

Thank you and Best regards.

Sincerely,

Dato' Ts. Ir. Dr. Badhrulhisham bin Abdul Aziz, FASc
Chairman of TTAC
