Compliance Accreditation

For Compliance Accreditation, Education Providers (EPs) are required to undertake corrective actions on all outstanding issues identified during the previous accreditation assessment, in accordance with the accreditation standards prescribed by MBOT.

EPs are required to submit the Self-Review Report 08 – Compliance Accreditation within two (2) years from the year of MBOT’s approval for the respective accreditation cycle. The application for Compliance Accreditation shall only be valid within the stipulated period and for the corresponding accreditation cycle. Failure to submit within the prescribed timeframe may require the EP to apply for a new cycle of accreditation.

For programmes with full accreditation status, successful compliance shall result in the continuation of the remaining accreditation period. For programmes with provisional accreditation status, successful compliance shall allow the programme to continue to be offered, subject to MBOT’s decision.

Compliance Accreditation may be conducted through physical audit or desktop audit, depending on the nature and extent of the outstanding issues. MBOT reserves the right to determine or revise the mode of audit on a case-by-case basis to ensure the effectiveness and integrity of the accreditation process.

All applications for Compliance Accreditation shall take effect from 1st January 2026 and shall apply to all relevant programmes submitting applications thereafter for the purpose of accreditation evaluation.
