February 22, 2024 - A collaborative meeting was convened to review the mapping of National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS) within technology and technical fields. Hosted by the Malaysia Technological Board (MBOT) in collaboration with the Department of Skills Development (JPK), the aim of the meeting was to align the NOSS framework with the technology and technical fields under MBOT.

This mapping initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance the recognition and acceptance of the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM). Subsequently, SKM holders will qualify for the title of Certified Technicians (Tc.) conferred by MBOT.

The review process also incorporated feedback from selected expert panel members from both MBOT and JPK. In total, 83 participants, including organizers, contributed to the discussions during this meeting.
