July 8, 2025 - The Director of the Technical Vocational Education and Training Division (BPLTV), Ts. Zulkernai bin Fauzi, received a courtesy call from representatives of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). The representatives included Professor Emeritus Datuk Ts. Ir. Dr Siti Hamisah binti Tapsir, FASc., President of MBOT, Dr. Md Fauzi bin Md Ismail, Registrar of MBOT and Ts. Dr. Nor Aznan bin Mohd Nor, Director of Technology and Technical Accreditation Secretariat.
The purpose of this courtesy call was to provide comprehensive updates on MBOT and to explore potential collaboration opportunities between BPLTV and MBOT. These include the accreditation of technology and technical academic programmes, as well as the bulk registration of vocational college graduates, involving 24 individuals under Graduate Technologists and 565 individuals under Qualified Technicians. This registration was carried out by Kolej Vokasional Sungai Buloh, Kolej Vokasional Kuala Selangor, Kolej Vokasional Kajang, Kolej Vokasional Setapak, Kolej Vokasional Port Dickson and Kolej Vokasional Ipoh.
In addition, the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) MTUN programme in Information Technology has been offered as a pathway for vocational college graduates to further their studies at a higher level. Student chapter activities were also organised through the Campus Tech Talk TUNE @ programme at several vocational colleges, at Kolej Vokasional Port Dickson, Kolej Vokasional Arau, Kolej Vokasional Ipoh, Kolej Vokasional Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kolej Vokasional Datuk Seri Mohd Zin, Kolej Vokasional Seri Iskandar, Kolej Vokasional Segamat, Kolej Vokasional Sandakan, Kolej Vokasional Kudat and Kolej Vokasional Slim River.
