March 6, 2026 - A delegation from the Malaysia Board of Technologists recently visited the Faculty of Engineering, Technology & Built Environment at UCSI University to explore potential areas of collaboration and strengthen engagement between the professional body and the academic community.

The session aimed to introduce the MBOT Student Chapter initiative, which provides students with early exposure to the professional technologist ecosystem, while encouraging greater participation in professional development activities throughout their academic journey. The discussion also highlighted opportunities for programme accreditation with MBOT, particularly for programmes related to computing & IT related programme, in line with the growing demand for qualified technologists in the digital and innovation-driven economy.

Representatives from the Institute of Computer Science and Digital Innovation, UCSI University, also participated in the engagement session, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening technology education and promoting pathways for graduates to obtain professional recognition under MBOT.
