7 May, 2026 - MBOT was invited to attend the ICT Deans Council Meeting to provide further clarification on the strategic direction and implementation of MBOT accreditation, with particular emphasis on Computing and Information Technology programmes.

The engagement session served as a meaningful platform for constructive dialogue between MBOT and academic leaders, aimed at strengthening mutual understanding on accreditation requirements, standards, and future direction. It also provided an avenue to discuss the alignment of academic programmes with industry expectations, professional standards, and national talent development needs.

Through this session, MBOT had the opportunity to share its latest initiative, namely the implementation of the Conversion of Bachelor's Degree in Computing and IT Programme to Seoul Accord Recognition.This initiative is aligned with the policy implementation commencing in 2027, whereby only graduates from programmes accredited by MBOT will be eligible for registration as Graduate Technologists or Professional Technologists (Ts.) in the field of Computing and Information Technology.
