July 14, 2026 - Prof. Dato' Ts. Ir. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim bin Abdul Mutalib, President of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), paid a courtesy visit to Ts. Andy Tiong Meng Jun, Deputy President of the Association of Professional Technicians and Technologists (APTT), as part of MBOT's strategic engagement efforts with its valued partner in Sarawak.

The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the existing collaboration between MBOT and APTT, foster closer institutional relationships, and explore new avenues for strategic partnerships towards advancing the technology and technical ecosystem in Sarawak.

Through this engagement, MBOT and APTT explored potential collaborative initiatives, including efforts to enhance professional recognition, facilitate knowledge exchange, and strengthen engagement with key stakeholders. The collaboration also aims to leverage APTT's network to connect MBOT with the Government of Sarawak and private sector organisations in Sarawak, creating greater opportunities for collaboration, industry engagement, and the advancement of technology-related programmes and initiatives.

This strategic engagement reflects MBOT's continued commitment to expanding its outreach and building meaningful partnerships with stakeholders across Malaysia. Through collaboration with APTT, MBOT seeks to further strengthen the technology profession, support ecosystem development, and contribute towards the growth of technology and technical sectors in Sarawak.
